John McEnroe

In recent decades the sport of tennis has become very popular and the star players that have dominated at one time or another have become household names that most sports fans can identify with.  In the early days of the sport it was known more as a wealthy person’s game but that changed over the years when it became known both for its healthy fast-pace and skills required to become competitive.  The website http://www.igotennis.com provides an inside look at the personalities and successes of some of the most prominent people to compete in tennis.

The website also contains articles that examine the advantages and disadvantages of newer materials used in the construction of tennis rackets.  Visitors will enjoy learning more about some of their tennis favorites and will find that articles are updated on a regular basis.

Are McCain's Efforts Coming Too Late?

There is still one month before the presidential election and John McCain is already leaving the impression that all the stops have been pushed!  Does that mean he cannot sucessfully address economic and other domestic and foreign policy issues?  Has Sarah Palin become a help or a hinderance to his success when election day gets here?  Will tonight's second presidential townhall debate with Barack Obama lift his support and refresh the troops?

A lot of questions began to arise when it became apparent that the economy was sliding into a recession and John McCain actually thought it in his best interests to suspend his campaign long enough to return to Washington and cheerlead his fellow Republicans into passing a multi-billion dollar rescue package.  I think the perception was that his efforts had mixed results and did not accomplish their intended goals.  That resulted in more evidence to voters that Obama is right and McCain is part of the problem instead of a solution.

As the credit and mortgage crisis expands into a worldwide epidemic any attempts to provide solutions come in small steps and take precious time to have a positive influence.  This is a drama that will continue to play before the electorate for months to come and as jobs are lost and credit dries up on Main Street the results seem to negatively affect McCains presidential aspirations.  The poll numbers reflect this daily and they sure are not going in John McCain's favor!

Four weeks is a long time and anything can happen between now and election day.  We've seen dramatic turnarounds before.  One has to wonder whether or not John McCain still has enough tricks up his sleeve to put himself and Mrs Palin in the White House come January.
