The spring and summer of 2008 have seen Hollywood provide movies covering the entire spectrum of action, romance, and adventure. While a chosen few have been entertaining and produced with quality filming and actors just the opposite is true others. With an economy sucking every last penny of a potential moviegoer’s entertainment funds it is very rational for us to scrutinize every offering and make the choice see or avoid them. In some instances a movie is so thrilling and entertaining that we would like to know what the future holds for both the cast and directors. Memories of the 2004 presidential election. John Kerry and President George W. Bush squaring off against one another. War and homeland security occupied voters minds during the townhall debates and Mr. Kerry lost them because, as I remember, he was always on the personality attack mode against President Bush but never took the time to present HIS plans! I knew where I stood with my vote, and yet I was always listening for Kerry's plan and he never got beyond the attacks against President Bush and the Republicans.
There are similarities surfacing in this 2008 campaign and it makes me wonder whether or not either candidate wants to bring rational plans to the attention of voters for the next 4 years?! Now, if you think this narrative gives you the impression that staying away from the polls on election day is an alternative, don't even go down that road! Every vote is extremely important because it tells the government that we DO care about who occupies the White House, the Senate, and the House of Representatives!
Come on, Mr. McCain, this is your chance to really shine!! Issues are your ace in the hole because your opponent, Mr. Obama, is so wishy-washy that few can ascertain just what it is that he stands for! Get off the references to the personal side of this campaign and let's hear some really good ways to solve America's energy woes, along with economic stimulus that just might include increasing taxes!! We're waiting for you!!
