Maintain a Physically and Mentally Healthy Lifestyle

Americans that have put on too much weight because they eat too much and don’t get enough exercise leave themselves open to a host of diseases that could shorten their lives.  Obesity is so difficult to deal with for most people who have this disease that they become mentally overburdened as well as physically.  Some people are even medically predisposed thru their genetic code to becoming overweight and/or obese, through no fault of their own.  All of us need more education on this subject so that we don’t fall prey to wives tales and false misconceptions about being overweight or obese.

The website http://www.goodfoodandfitness.com contains a wealth of good information to help the reader become more aware of the issues surrounding both physical and mental health.  Readers will find a number of healthy recipes and the right information that encourages them to adopt a healthy lifestyle.  Everything from delicious fruits to seafood that is accompanied by health information makes this website a keeper.

My Coffee comes Cheap - Sorry Starbucks!

My wife doesn't drink coffee at all ..... she piles out of bed in the morning and, like a shot out of a cannon, she's wide awake and taking on the world!  Some would say that she is a "morning person".  No coffee, no smoking, just as if by magic, she is always packed full of energy!

I, on the other hand, fall out of bed five minutes later and start stumbling my way to the bathroom sink to brush my teeth.  Brushing my teeth is an excuse to not having to think for three more minutes!  Everyone would say that I am "not a morning person".

Three days a week we both go to the gym at 5:30 a.m. and workout for 45 minutes.  She loves to swim and its good for her arthritic knees.  I go upstairs and do weights and walk sixteen laps.  By the end of this, I guess I'm as awake as my wife ..... at least it seems like it when we drive home.

I've drank coffee for 35 years or so.  Never had a Starbucks brew .... can you believe that?!!  I just buy the cheapest coffee on the grocery store shelf and plaster three scoops into my "Mr. Coffee" each morning, loving every drop that comes out!  It doesn't matter to me that it's the store brand instead of "the best"!  It tastes just as good, no matter what that expensive stuff tastes like!  You could say that I've simplified my life a little bit more .... just settling for anyone's good 'ole java!

My wife is six steps ahead of me by now.  We smile at each other and go about our merry ways, neither one of us giving a thought about the Starbucks coffee shop 1/2 mile away!  Drink up, America!!
