People cannot store time away and save it for that “rainy day”. In today’s American society we give little attention to our age, whether it be young adults or older citizens, because the pace of life is so fast that very few stop to notice the date on the calendar of life. We seem to think that our time, the time for ourselves, is somewhere in the future because others demand so much of our time. As a result, most of us don’t stop and “smell the roses”, meaning that we don’t take time for ourselves. If we would just realize that taking some time for ourselves results in a better and healthier person for others to enjoy. The website http://www.reinventlife.com contains pointed articles on this and other subjects designed to give the reader ideas that emphasize time and suggestions about what to do with it. Age is not important to the author because people should take time for themselves at any age so that life becomes more rewarding.

My wife and I are what some might label as very conservative spenders. We usually wear clothes until they are worn out. We don't travel unless it is for a special family event. We try to rein in our grocery spending and limit ourselves to very modest priced meals. In spite of these actions, our bills consume all but a slight amount of our earnings. Why?
Since the mid-1980s our income would have had to grow nearly 20% ..... just to keep pace with the increased costs of the items that I mentioned above! Since both of us are in our late-50s it would be insanity to think that either or both of our incomes would have increased nearly enough to just keep up with higher costs!
A majority of baby boomers just like us have encountered the same set of circumstances ..... my wife and I are not the exception .... to the contrary, we are in the majority! And this doesn't take into account sending our three children to college during the preceeding 10 years ..... even though they received government loans that they are responsible for paying back.
So, the point of all this rhetoric is ...... either curb your spending or else go broke (into the red!)! Now, since my wife and I have become very familiar with a limited budget, we are able to meet our obligations ..... and we consider ourselves to be extremely blessed by God!!
Learning to simplify your life by owning less and having to pay for less is not so hard to do! By the way ..... we have a large credit card debt, so don't think for a minute that we aren't just like you!
