My Summer Survival Kit

Where are you planning to go this summer?  If your plans include the beach, then your survival kit might look a lot different than mine.  Doesn't mean we're going two different places.  Just that I like for my survival kit to include things to use INDOORS.

 

Don't get me wrong .... I love the beach by the ocean or a lake just as much as the next guy.  For example, I love to take walks along the beach at sunrise and sunset, see the dolphins, pickup sea shells, kick water on my wife's legs, whatever!

 

The rest of the time, I like to find a comfortable sofa at the beach condo and settle in for some movies and popcorn ..... maybe a cold drink or a beer once in a while ..... ya know, just have fun!

 

Now, for those spending their time ON THE BEACH ..... I mean, all of their waking hours out in the sand and seawater ...... they're going to take things like towels, hats, beach chairs, sun screen, a swimming suit, etc.  Ya know ...... all the good stuff for that perfect day in the sand and surf!

 

Well, you can leave me behind, resting comfortably at the condo, watching House season 3 &4, or Will Smith movies, The Godfather trilogy, and, of course Indiana Jones trilogy!  Man, now that's going to be a great time!!  I mean, pizzas and subs!  God knows what else?!?

 

Yes, my Summer Survival Kit is definitely going to look different than yours.  And that's just fine!  It's what a few days away from the mad rush and $4 gasoline is supposed to be for, right?
