Every United States President Should Have Military Experience

I've asked myself this question time and time again! "How can someone become the commander-and-chief of America's armed forces without having served in the military?" Did our forefathers have something else in mind when they left this simple requirement out of the constitution?
One could make the argument that a CEO of a widget company doesn't have to have made widgets to qualify for the title of CEO! But we're talking about our country's highest elected official. How does a person command the respect of his member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff?
I don't think that the Commandant of the Marines or the Army, or the Navy for that matter, looks upon his/her President with a great amount of respect who has not served one day of boot camp, or one day being shipped to the battlefront, or not even one day under the command of a sergeant! Come on, people!
Are we going to elect another president in May who doesn't have military experience? I sure hope not. That person lacks the qualifications to become the commander of the armed forces! Look at your choices for president and make this one of your highest priorities when you vote in November!
