Easy Divorce? Why? What Has Changed Marriage so Much?

As the advertisers claim, "Divorce made easy - Out-of-court Settlement - Make it easier on the Children!" I am wondering why it is so necessary to make Divorce easier and less painful.
Are men and women less capable of knowing each other deep enough to survive a marriage? I do think it is becoming more difficult to really know someone. Has it become really impossible to form a long lasting marriage?
People don't have enough time? Has society minimized the structure of marriage and it's importance? I wonder how people really and honestly view the agreement of, "UNTIL DEATH DO US PART".
If divorce has become such a burden to society and to the children of divorcing parents, why does society think the answer lies in making it easier to separate? Does the impact on children become less damaging?
There are enough questions here to keep us wondering for a long time. Educating people of the consequences of divorce is a step in the right direction.
